On March 12, 2013, the wecollaborate.ca group launched its first co-design transfer studio at HEC Montréal. At the invitation of Loretta Cianci, Director of Campus Development, three teams made up of HEC Montréal professors, students, architects, engineers and executives developed models and presented a proposal for completely redesigning a classroom to promote cooperation among students.
The participants were introduced to a new approach designed to help them understand the mechanisms behind effective ideation in a multidisciplinary context. This approach was developed by the HybridLab team led by Tomás Dorta. Wecollaborate.ca group members Daniel Spooner, along with Sofiane Achiche and Aurelian Vadean from Polytechnique Montréal, acted as facilitators.
