A multidisciplinary collaborative design project (Poly-ÉDIN-HEC) supervised by two members of MATI Montréal; Tomás Dorta and Daniel Spooner, with collaborators: Chrysler Group LLC Innovation Center, Auburn Hills – USA and Domus Academy, Milan, Italy is being developped in 2013-2014.
This collaborative project regroups 12 students from École Polytechnique de Montréal (engineering-Poly), six students form HEC Montréal (business) and three students from Université de Montréal (industrial design – ÉDIN) also thirteen students from Domus Academy (Milan) will work on the interior layout of the Fiat 500L to make it more flexible and adapted for young families. The vehicle was on loan for two weeks by Chrysler so students could observe, study, test and complete field research.
Two visits by Chrysler Group LLC representatives are planned, one in November for a concept evaluation and one in April 2014 for the final evaluation. More information will be presented as the project evolves.
